How are you different from other organizations such as a Chamber of Commerce?

The EDC is a public - or community-benefit organizaton; the others are mutual - or member-benefit organizations.
The EDC works to provide the vehicle in which the members of other groups can grow and prosper.
It is a matter of focus. The EDC focuses primarily on long-term programs enhancing the overall regional economy which, as a consequence, may have immediate benefits for member businesses. Other groups focus more on immediate programs for its members which, as a consequence, may contribute to the long-term enhancement of the overall economy.
