Southwest Community Development Organization
The EDC of Southwest California recently facilitated the founding of the Southwest Community Development Organization (SCDO), a 501(c)3, non-profit, charitable group that is focused on workforce development/workforce readiness. The mission of SCDO is to advance the education, training, and employment opportunities in Southwest California, thereby enhancing the future of the region. The recently completed Strategic Plan of SCDO involves the support of, and participation in, four types of programs to achieve its mission; education programs, resource programs, community/business awareness, and funding.
